ISO/TC 176 Plenary Meetings in Hong Kong in November 2015

On 16 January 2015, Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announce that The International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/Technical Committee (TC) 176 (ISO/TC 176) Plenary Meeting will be held in Hong Kong in November 2015.

“Hong Kong keenly supports the work of the ISO. We will proceed with preparations for the meeting in the coming months and look forward to support and advice from the industry and all stakeholders”,a spokesman for the Innovation and Technology Commission said.

ISO/TC 176 is responsible for creating and managing standards in the field of quality management and quality assurance which is the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Standard, one of the most widely used ISO standards around the world and in Hong Kong. The Standard is currently under revision, and is expected to be published in September 2015.

HKV Technical Director, Mr. Howie Ng, has been actively participating the ISO/TC 176 meetings in the last five years. HKV is now offering Transition training courses to the 2015 versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 which are based on the Annex SL structure.
